6 Trends in Corporate Worksite Wellness for 2017

The story points to a greater focus on sleep health and total well-being, as well as the need to embrace technology and remain compliant with regulations.

Also in the story, Interactive Health Vice President of Health Services Jane Ruppert discusses the impact of the mind-body connection and why emotional health is essential in a comprehensive wellness program.

“Emotional health accounts for $135 billion spent on health care every year,” says Ruppert, citing a research report prepared by The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). “That’s nearly as much as the total spent on heart disease and cancer treatment combined. With 1 in 5 American adults experiencing some emotional health issue — particularly depression — in any given year, corporations should be prioritizing it in their worksites.”
