Why More Employers Are Investing in Well-Being in 2016
(March 4, 2016)
Workplace wellness programs are a $6 billion industry in the U.S., and many say that’s money well spent.
In a story that appeared in a USA Today supplement, President and CEO of Interactive Health, Cathy Kenworthy, discusses the ROI employers can achieve through investing in wellness programs and proactive strategies to manage health care costs. “Employers pay for half of the health care costs in this country,” says Cathy Kenworthy. “There’s a huge interest employers have in being able to marshal effective, proactive strategies around managing health care costs.”
Also featured in the story are two of our clients, David’s Bridal and Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), both of whom have seen direct savings in medical claims costs due to their wellness programs.
